The Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa is located in Fort Myers (Lee County), on the west coast of the state of Florida, between the cities of Naples (to the south) and Sarasota/Tampa to the north. The Resort is readily accessible to a mixture of local, county, state and interstate highways. The major thoroughfares serving the Resort are Interstate 75, U.S. Route 41, McGregor Boulevard and Punta Rassa Road. Interstate 75, which is located roughly 12 miles northeast of the Resort, is a principal north/south thoroughfare that originates in northern Michigan, at the Canadian border, and then extends south to Florida, becoming Alligator Alley (also known as Everglades Parkway) approximately six miles east of Naples.
The Resort is located on a peninsula of land known as Punta Rassa. It is situated on approximately 100 acres of land. The parcel on which the 240-room Hotel, the Spa, and the Tennis Center are located measures +/-12 acres. The two condominium towers that are situated within the Resort complex occupy roughly +/-5 acres. The remaining +/-83 acres of the Resort are characterized by mangroves and wetlands. The Resort maintains an address of 17269 Harbour Pointe Drive, and is located on the outskirts of the City of Fort Myers (overlooking Sanibel Island). The municipal jurisdictions governing the Resort are the County of Lee and the State of Florida. The northern, eastern and western sections of the Resort are bordered by San Carlos Bay. The two condominium towers (Bay View (North) and Harbour View (South)) are situated in the northernmost section of the Resort. The southwestern section of the Resort borders on the Sanibel Harbour Marina and the Punta Rassa Condominiums. The Sanibel Harbour Marina is a dry-dock, private marina that abuts the southwestern boundary of the hotel. The complex contains four, one-story, concrete block buildings, which house the boats when not in use. The Punta Rassa Condominiums situated just south of the Sanibel Harbour Marina consist of four individual buildings; two of these structures are 13 stories in height, one is eight stories, and one is four stories. The 240-room Resort Hotel is located in the southwestern portion of the site. A private, sandy beach borders the western side of the Resort. The Spa and Tennis Center are situated in the center of the Resort.
